Pike View Hike: 10-14 year olds
Bibby's Farm Yomp: 14-18 year olds

3 competitions, set in the West Pennine Moors, will be held for teams of Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Brownies & Guides in April 2009. Teams of 4 will walk between sets of checkpoints, and attempt to complete a task upon arrival at each checkpoint. A question sheet (the "ongoing incident") is also answered en-route. Points are gained for navigational skill, abilities on checkpoints, and correct answers on the question sheet... but the hike isn't a race!

The event (now going into its 8th year) attracts entries from more than 60 teams from all over the UK: Greater Manchester, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Lancashire to name just a few of the counties involved.
