Breaking news: The 2009 Pike View Hike (Scouts), Pip Hartley Memorial (Cubs) and the Bibby's Farm Yomp (Explorers) results are now online. Photos have now been posted, any comments to be added to our comment board are most welcome.


3 competitions, set in the West Pennine Moors, will be held for teams of Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Brownies & Guides in April 2009. Teams of 4 will walk between sets of checkpoints, and attempt to complete a task upon arrival at each checkpoint. A question sheet (the "ongoing incident") is also answered en-route. Points are gained for navigational skill, abilities on checkpoints, and correct answers on the question sheet... but the hike isn't a race!

The event (now going into its 9th year) attracts entries from more than 60 teams from all over the UK: Greater Manchester, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, and Lancashire to name just a few of the counties involved.

Also we are now running a Adult event in October, to let Leaders, friends and families have a go and see if they can compete as well as the kids.
